Our first family road trip -- Pics to come!!

We recently took a road trip to go visit Robs younger sister who lives in Ephrata. It was such a nice trip & both kiddos did such an amazing job riding in the car. We stopped along the way several times, which you have to when you drive long distances with kids. We stopped at Schreiner Farms which is on hgwy 14 across from the Dalles. It is a really neat place to drive through & see all kinds of exotic animals. A few that we saw were baby giraffes, zebra, buffalo, camel, reindeer, and elk. Once we left there, we got to drive through Glodendale. They have these amazing windmills all over that Landon thought were pretty much the coolest thing. We eventually stopped in Toppenish at Dads family restaurant. They have the best onion rings ever! We eventually made it to Ephrata, checked in to out hotel & then had dinner with the family. When we came back to our hotel, we thought wed go down to the pool. The kids had so much fun in the pool, they LOVED it!!
The next day we headed over to Moses Lake for the day. We found a really cool park & played for a while then went & had a yummy lunch. We walked around for a while too. We did go swimming again of course, & Cameron cant get enough of the water. She is such a fish!!
on our last day in ephrata, we packed up our room & headed to a park. We played for a while, got coffees & headed to Wenatchee. Wenatchee is such a pretty place. I love how it is surrounded by mountains all over. When drove past a dam as we were just about to enter wenatchee. It was so pretty!! We had lunch at this really good Mongolian place called the wok about then walked around for a while. We found another park, which is a bonus for Landon. He loves to play outside & could all day if I would let him. We had a hotel booked for that night, so we headed there & checked in. We did some swimming of course, & had the best coconut cream pie EVER!! It was soo good!!
When we woke up, it was such a nice day already. It was like 80 degrees at 9am. We had a yummy breakfast, packed up & got on the road. We stopped in Cashmere where the Applets & Cotlets factory is. I hate those candies, but Rob loves them. The little town was really cute! We were hoping to stop at the Rocky Reach dam, but we went the wrong way. We eventually ended up in Ellensburg where we had lunch & got some coffees. We hurried & got back on the road. When we went through Toppenish again, of course we stopped at Dads for some onion rings & shakes. We did drive through Schreiner farms again too on our way to Hood River to have Pietro's for dinner. They have some of the best pizza!! Once we left there, it was only an hour till we got home & when we did, it felt so good to be home!!
